Memorial at the Mount at the Slack Farm, Uniontown, where in 1987 10 men disturbed as many as 1,000 Native American graves searching for pottery, jewelry, weapons, trade goods and other items buried with the bodies of those interred. The desecration of this site led some states, including Kentucky, to declare grave digging a felony, and led to restrictions in the sale of artifacts. Ceremonies will replicate reburial ceremonies of 20 years ago.
